Chowdeck Wallet is a digital balance or e-wallet in the on-demand delivery platform. The e-wallet allows customers to preload money in the app for payments of orders. The wallet consists of two balances: main balance and ChowBucks. The Main Balance is used for top-ups and for receiving refunds from orders.

However, it’s important to note that riders and partners have separate internal earnings balances tied to their respective accounts. These balances are used mainly for the purpose of payouts rather than customer payments.

Riders’ balances are accumulated through the delivery fees they earned, tips given to them by customers, and any bonuses or incentives earned from working during peak or off-peak hours.

Notably, Chowdeck has recently introduced a self-serve withdrawal option for customers. But customers in Ghana still need to contact Chowdeck support to manually withdraw their wallet balance or request order refunds.

Meanwhile, it's important to let you know that only the funds in the main balance are eligible for withdrawal. Chowbucks are to be used on the Chowdeck app to pay for orders. This simply means that Chowbucks cannot be withdrawn. They are balances accumulated through gift cards, referral rewards, cashbacks, and compensation credits.

Another thing you need to do before accessing your wallet is to make sure your Chowdeck app is updated. You can update your app to the latest version on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, depending on your device’s operating system.

How to Withdraw from Chowdeck Wallet

If it’s your first time withdrawing, you’ll need to add your bank account and complete the bank verification first.

Add your Bank Account

  • Open your Chowdeck app and navigate to “Wallet” from the homepage.
  • Click on the “Refund to Bank” button in the Wallet Dashboard.
  • To add your bank account, click on “Add a Refund Bank", and the bank verification processes will begin immediately.
  • First, you'll be required to create a 4-digit PIN as a security measure whenever you want to withdraw to the bank account.
  • Once the PIN is created, search your bank name from the drop-down option and type in the account number in the provided box.
  • Confirm your account names and click on "Add Bank" to complete the process

Steps to withdraw money from Chowdeck Wallet

Follow these steps to successfully withdraw your funds from your Chowdeck wallet:

  • Login to your Chowdeck app and click on Wallet from the app homepage.
  • In the wallet dashboard, click on the “Refund to Bank” button.
  • Select the bank account you've added.
  • Input the amount you want to withdraw and enter the 4-digit PIN you created to authorise your transaction.

In less than 5 minutes, your money will be sent to your bank account.

Changing withdrawal PIN

However, if you've got the withdrawal PIN, you can simply use the “Reset refund PIN” button on the withdrawal page to set another PIN. But once you use the 'Reset refund PIN' button, an OTP code will be sent to your linked email address, and once you verify it, you'll be redirected to a page where you can set a new withdrawal PIN.

Changing Bank Account

If you want to change your withdrawal bank account on the Chowdeck app, simply go to “withdrawal settings” under “Refund to Bank” in the Chowdeck app. However, it's important to note that a 24-hour temporary withdrawing restriction will be placed on your balance before you can withdraw to the new account.
