Grokipedia is an AI-generated online encyclopedia launched by Elon Musk’s AI company xAI on October 27, 2025. Primarily, this online encyclopaedia was launched to compete with Wikipedia. However, Grokipedia is nowhere near Wikipedia because the contents on the platform are generated and reviewed by Grok's most advanced AI model rather than human contributors (volunteers) that Wikipedia relies on.
The latest version of Grokipedia is v0.2, and it was released in late 2025. The version started allowing users to propose edits to articles, and that's what we are going to discuss in this article. Like I said earlier, Grokipedia's editing system is not community-driven like Wikipedia's; it's driven by Grok AI for proposed edits and suggestions, meaning the AI model reviews and implements changes.
The 100% dependence of Grokipedia on AI is what critics describe as opaque and chaotic. They question how editorial decisions are made. In addition to that, many researchers have cautioned against trusting it uncritically, pointing to AI quirks, potential bias, and weaker citation practices compared with established encyclopedias like Wikipedia.
But trust me, I'm not going to bore you with the potential downside of the AI encyclopedias. The primary purpose of this article is to guide you on how to write, add, and edit on the newly launched Elon Musk's Grokipedia. Truth be told, Grokpedia doesn’t currently support traditional human editing, but there's an indirect way, and that's what I'm going to teach you in this guide.
Write, add, or edit articles on Grokpedia
Unlike Wikipedia, Grokpedia doesn’t currently support traditional human reviews, writing, adding articles, or editing articles. But there are other means you can explore to contribute to the platform:
- You can suggest corrections: if you find incorrect or problematic content on Grokipedia, you can report or suggest corrections. Some implementations show an “It’s Wrong” label or feedback option in the article interface.
- AI reviews and updates articles: submitted corrections or suggestions are reviewed by Grok AI, who then determines whether to apply changes. The timing and transparency of this review can vary.
- No full article submissions (yet): there currently doesn’t appear to be a feature to submit entirely new articles manually; all article generation is handled by Grok based on its training data and real-time reasoning.
- Future plans and features: there are features that have been planned for Grokipedia, such as dynamic article generation and community input mechanisms.
How to submit a suggestion on Grokipedia
Open your browser, type "grokipedia.com" into your address bar, and visit the page. On the Grokipedia's homepage, you'll be required to log in to submit a suggestion or correction. You can log in using a Google account, an X account, or an Apple account. The sign-in page says, "Login with X", "Login with email", "Login with Google", and "Login with Apple".
I log in using my X account because it's easy, and through that, you can easily link all your XI accounts together. Once you log in, you'll be able to access all the features, including "suggest an article", "mode", and "account management", features that are not available if you're not signed in.
To suggest an article, click on the bulb icon at the top of the homepage.
Or you can type in the topic you want to search and if it's not add already, you can simply click "request this article," as it's shown in the image below.
Enter the article topic and add additional details, such as aspects you would love to learn about, or why Grokipedia should add the topic to its database. Click "submit suggestion" to submit your suggestion. According to Grok AI, suggestion submission usually takes several hours to complete.
Grokipedia handles suggested articles (or proposals for new topics/pages) through a controlled, AI-mediated process that's quite different from Wikipedia's open editing model. All content is generated, reviewed, and published by xAI AI model, Grok, aiming for "maximum truth-seeking" with centralized control.
