The TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra 5G scored the highest DXOMARK camera score among smartphones priced under $200 in Nigeria. The smartphone camera uses a triple rear camera system designed to handle different shooting situations. To be precise, the phone uses a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with a Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, a 50MP f/2.4 3x telephoto camera, and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with a flicker sensor and LED flash.

The Camon 50 series (including the Ultra model) was officially unveiled on March 4, 2026, at Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026). But the good news is that the phone will soon be available in the Nigerian market. But we're expecting the price to range between NGN180,000 and NGN200,000.

This means the smartphone is available in two variants: 256GB storage with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with 12GB RAM, which are not expanded with a memory card. So, you must rely on the built-in storage no matter what. The phone also uses UFS (Universal Flash Storage) technology, which allows for faster data reading and writing speeds, improving overall performance when opening apps or transferring files.
It's also important to note that storage is also one of the key factors that affect smartphones' prices in Nigeria. Definitely, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra with a 256GB ROM and 12GB RAM will be more costly than the 256GB storage with 8GB RAM variants. Well, by the variants, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G is expected to cost about $330 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and not more than $400 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model in the international market.
